Eyebrow lift

Eyebrow lift is performed to lift the lateral half of the eyebrows. If the brows fall below the orbital rim, the procedure will raise the brows back to a more youthful position. The operation will eliminate wrinkles on the sides of the eyes, between the eyes (“frown lines”), creases across the forehead, or on the bridge of the nose. Browlift lift can be done alone but it is more frequently done together with other procedures such as facelift or eyelid surgery

The procedure

An incision is made above the lateral half of the eyebrows. The surgeon separates the skin from the underlying structures and stretches the skin upwards. Excess skin is eliminated and the incision is carefully closed. The surgery is done under local anesthesia and takes less than one hour.

After surgery you will be wrapped into a light dressing for about two to three days. Mild swelling in a week after surgery is not unusual. After two weeks, you can return to your normal physical activity.

The result is a younger and relaxed look, rested appearance, with uplifted contours and improved tone in facial skin and underlying muscles. Wrinkles on the sides of the eyes are gone. Gone is also a sad look or display of unintended emotions. The procedure is usually is performed in conjunction with other rejuvenating procedures on the face.
